Current Projects

There are currently a range of projects involving both solo and joint ventures.

The solo projects are driven by my own interests. They involve activities in developing songwriting skills, improvisation skills and composition for a range of instruments. The compositions are generally (intended to be) in transition, with each performance a snapshot of their momenatry state. Some may remain in a particular state for some time, others will not.

Joint projects involve duet and group work. Duets involve guitars, guitar and violin, guitar and percussion, guitar and bass. Group work is currently guitar, saxaphone and percussion, with bass to follow. Iimprovisations have been both enlightening and pleasing.

Movement between solo and joint work may occur as may movement between duet and group work.

Recording focuses on 8-track recording techniques and general computer based recording techniques.

Software currently under consideration includes Ableton Live 8 and Rewire. Live 8 is also being explored with a view to incorporation into live sets with both prepared sections and 'real time incorporation' into improvisations.
