Photography

wjsPhotography is a lovely way to relax, particularly when combined with a good walk. Time glides by. Totally absorbing, a total distraction. Currently sold on digital formats though 35mm still used - now and again.

This is very much an amateur venture, take enough shots and some of the are bound to be good. However, theres a lot to be said for having the right camera. Strangely enough the best camera I've had for photographs was a Kodak digital camera picked up at a very nice price from an auction. The baggy point shot in the 'Exit' section of this site was shot with the Kodak. The colours obtained were excellent.

Recent Photo-Shoots: Santiago, Chile; Sao Paulo Brazil.

Forthcoming Photo-Shoots: Rushden, Herts, and Tintern Abbey, UK.

I used to develop my own photographs when I was a teenager and played around with enlargements. The digital option now offers a much greater degree of flexibility, particularly in the number of photographs that can be taken, the price involved, and ease of sharing, via the web.
